Why Storytelling.
My approach to photography combines two powerful tools that form our memories: visual images and stories.
Single images capture a split second of time, and also hold infinite detail - a revealing expression, a characteristic gesture, and the surroundings that reflect who we are.
A series of images together tell a story - the connections between parents and children and siblings, the variety of expressions that reveal a whole personality, the many ways that we play and love and work in the spaces we call home. Storytelling photography pairs rich photographs with a narrative order, crafting a timeless tale of your own family life.
Your storytelling photo session is the main event.

1. Consult
This is our chance to get to know each other. A short 15 minute phone call is the most efficient way to discuss the details of your session and address any concerns you have. If you feel we’re a great fit we will get your session scheduled. With a session fee of $300 and some paperwork, we’ll put your date on the calendar. (Whew! That’s off your to-do list now!)
2. Session Day
Sessions are 60-90 minutes long and usually take place at home or wherever your hearts are happy. The most important thing is for you all to feel relaxed and comfortable. This is a no pressure session. You’re not trying to impress me. I don’t judge. It’s about you as a family, doing you, enjoying each other.
3. Ordering
About 2-3 weeks after your session date, you’ll receive a link to your gallery where you’ll purchase the package that’s perfect for you. With a combination of digital files and printed products in each collection, there’s something to meet everyone’s needs. Collections start at
Whether you’ve chosen an album, wall gallery or both, you will begin enjoying these heirlooms right away and cherish them for years to come.
